Amazon trains robots to deliver packages to your doorstep

Amazon is building a robot training course in San Francisco that mimics real neighborhoods to teach robots how to deliver packages from electric vans to homes. These robots are being trained to get out of vans, walk on sidewalks and driveways, and place packages at the door—all guided by voice commands. The company plans to use them with its growing fleet of electric delivery vans.

• Amazon aims to have 100,000 electric vans on the road by 2030.
